About the event

Join us for a live music performance with 21-stringed kora master Salieu Suso.

Born in Gambia, West Africa to a musical family, Salieu was trained  by his father on the kora, which he has played from the age of eight. He  began his professional career by the age of fifteen. He has performed  widely throughout the U.S., Africa and Europe, and is known for his  diverse range of musical collaborations.

Kora or Cora (francophone) is a 21-string instrument originally from  West Africa, the Gambia. the closest to the  western harp instrument.  kora is built with calabash, rosewood, cow hide and fishing lines as  strings, creating  melodious tunes that gives you serenity.
